UK. Southern fried chicken specialist Mother Clucker has become the latest brand to take its place in SSP’s London street food-inspired venue at London Stansted Airport.
Mother Clucker will offer its fried chicken menu from today (4 March) at The Camden Bar & Kitchen, which opened at the airport last August.

The street food business began serving its fried chicken from a converted US Army ambulance in London in 2013. Its signature Southern fried chicken is brined in sweet tea for 24 hours, soaked in buttermilk, double dipped in a secret spice and flour mix and fried to order.

SSP UK & Ireland Group Marketing Director Lucy Knowles said: “We’re delighted that The Camden Bar & Kitchen will be featuring signature dishes from one of London’s most exciting street food names.
“We look forward to working together with Mother Clucker to enhance our offer at Stansted and provide passengers with an even more exciting experience.”

Mother Clucker Co-founder Ross Curnow said: “Ever since we began Mother Clucker, we’ve prided ourselves on bringing the best Southern fried chicken and Cajun fries to the people of London.
“Now I’m excited to say that we’ll be feeding hungry travellers within Stansted thanks to SSP. We can’t think of a better partner to help us make 2019 a great success.”

SSP also revealed that the Camden Bar & Kitchen is now working with London coffee and restaurant brand Grind.
Founded in Shoreditch in 2011, Grind will offer a mix of coffee, food and cocktails at London Stansted, with service from a team of professional baristas trained at Grind’s roastery in east London.
SSP added that The Camden Bar & Kitchen will refresh its options every six months, with new London street food traders being given opportunities.
