GERMANY. Munich Airport is partnering with the BMW Open to stage a tennis promotion in the lead-up to the ATP BMW Open by FWU AG tournament in Munich on 24 April.
From 1 April until 20 April, passengers, visitors and airport staff are invited to show off their best shots on two tennis courts set up in the Munich Airport Center Forum between the airport’s two terminals.
World-class tennis pro Tommy Haas and up-and-coming German star Alexander Zverev will take part in the event which offers tuition for young and old enthusiasts as well as day camps for children aged from 5 to 16.
Other highlights include display training with top local players from the Munich Iphitos club, the opportunity to meet Haas and Zverev, weekend tournaments with regionally ranked players, wild card tournaments to qualify for the BMW Open, and open courts for passengers and visitors.
Visitors to the event can park free of charge in the airport’s P20 car park for up to five hours.
