Napoli Capodichino Airport opens first wood oven pizzeria in an Italian airport

ITALY. Napoli Capodichino Airport has opened the first full service pizzeria with a wood-fired oven in the Italian airports network.

The Fratelli La Bufala restaurant specialises in pizzas and dishes inspired by recipes from the Campania region, with a focus on dishes featuring buffalo meat and mozzarella.

Founded in 2003 by the Neapolitan restaurant operator Emme Sei, the brand makes its airport debut with a 150-seat airside location.

Retail food products such as mozzarella, olive oil, pasta, and pickled vegetables preserved in oil are also to be sold at the store.

Fratelli La Bufala has 90 outlets in Italy and 18 restaurants abroad, from Barcelona to Berlin, Bruxelles, Istanbul, La Valletta, London (with a flagship site at Piccadilly Circus), Madrid, Miami and New York City.
