Neuhaus’ newly appointed Head of Travel Retail Gerry Murray

BELGIUM. Belgian chocolatier Neuhaus has appointed Gerry Murray as Head of Travel Retail, responsible for leading and further developing Neuhaus’s travel retail department.

A long-time industry expert, Murray was previously Sales Director at Godiva Chocolatier before starting at Neuhaus.

Neuhaus Director International Sales Philip Geeraert said: “We are very pleased to expand the travel retail team with such a dynamic, well-respected professional as Gerry Murray. Neuhaus has known consistent double-digit growth in travel retail over the past years and we owe it to our customers to further expand and professionalise this division.

“It will be a pleasure to cooperate with Gerry and realise the challenging Neuhaus targets for the years to come. I believe it is a major step in the development of the Neuhaus vision in travel retail,” Geeraert added.

Commenting on his new appointment, Murray said: “I am delighted to have this opportunity to work with Neuhaus and to get back into the travel retail chocolate business. In my previous role I have, of course, been aware of its recent growth in all regions of the globe. Neuhaus’ innovation and dynamism has always impressed me.

“I am also going to have the great pleasure to work with long time industry friends and former colleagues. I’m looking forward to an earlier TFWA World Exhibition this year and to making a positive contribution to the great work that has already been done by the Neuhaus team.”
