UK. UK beauty firm Original Additions, whose brands include Eylure and Elegant Touch, has announced several new senior appointments. New appointments to the Board, two internal appointments joining as equity partners at board level and a new non-executive chairman herald a new company management structure.
Mark Wood, former National Account Manager for the UK and Travel Retail, has been named UK Sales Director and James Middleton, former Export Manager, becomes Export Sales Director.
Mo Meisuria assumes the role of National Accounts Manager for the UK and Travel Retail. Meisuria is a travel retail specialist with significant experience in this key growth area for the company and she joins from Alpha, where she was a senior buyer for perfume, cosmetics and luxury brands. Meisuria has a wealth of experience within the fashion and premium sectors and her role will focus on developing travel retail, department stores and fashion, according to the firm.
Original Additions has also appointed a new Non-Executive Company Chairman, Andy Meehan. Meehan has been Finance Director and Chief Executive of a number of major companies including Sears, Storehouse PLC and Gordon Brothers International and is currently Chairman and Non-executive Director of GHD group, Fortnum & Mason and Pimlico Homes. His impressive background in retail, both in the UK and overseas, will be instrumental in the company’s future expansion in the UK and internationally, said the firm.
Alexandra Gorin has been named the new Director of Strategic Business Development. Her responsibilities will encompass distributor management in specific markets, export marketing strategy and development of the global fashion markets and her territories will include France, Italy, Benelux, Russia and Ukraine. Gorin has a strong background in distributor development and strategic distribution and tendering, dealing with key companies such as L’Oréal, LVMH and Kraft Foods. She also has a background in luxury brands working with Gilchrist & Soames and is well placed to help Original Additions to drive its international business forward, according to the firm.
Commenting on the new appointments, Original Additions Managing Director Simon Zussman said: “These five new appointments serve to strengthen the dynamic leadership of the company at a time of significant growth in our business at home on the high street, rapid expansion overseas and in the travel retail arena. Mark, James, Andy, Alex and Mo all bring a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to their new roles and I’m sure they will be instrumental in our continued success.”
The company added: “Following an illustrious 18-year career at Original Additions, Mark Taylor, former board member and UK and Export Sales Director, has left the company to pursue other interests.”
