USA. Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA) has revealed the latest retail and food & beverage brands that will open at Reagan National and Dulles International airports. The move comes amid a major overhaul of both airports’ commercial activities that will convert or rebuild 85% of all concessions.
MWAA said: “The new offerings at both airports feature better brands and more recognisable restaurants to serve international and domestic travellers alike.”
New F&B units at Reagan National will include Thai and Chinese food at Big Bowl, and Georgetown Gourmet Market, featuring salads, soups and sandwiches.
At Dulles International, the new concessions will include quick-serve names such as Subway and the return of Five Guys Burgers and Fries, as well as a new restaurant called The Kitchen by Wolfgang Puck. In retail, Dulles International will see the opening of fine designer jewellery brand Erwin Pearl, consumer technology brand Bluwire and news & gifts retailer Stellar News.
“These additions represent our latest improvements to our passengers’ travel experience at Washington Dulles International and Reagan National airports,” said MWAA Vice President of Customer and Concessions Development Steve Baker. “We are proud of the detail our concessions partners have invested in delivering exceptional service to our travellers, which includes under counter coat hooks, power ports and wider aisles.”
