Nose Christine Nagel to join Hermès Parfums in 2014

Nose Christine Nagel will join Hermès Parfums in March 2014. She will work alongside the house’s perfumer Jean-Claude Ellena, as part of a transition period which will ultimately lead to a “happy sucession”, according to the brand.

Nagel was formerly Vice President Fine Fragrance Creation at Mane. She has created scents for Jo Malone, Perfumes Y Diseño, Thierry Mugler Parfums and Parfums Lolita Lempicka, among others.

“The arrival of Jean-Claude Ellena in 2004 marked the start of a new path for Hermès,” commented Hermès Parfums CEO Catherine Fulconis. “Ten years later, we are enriching our story with a new and beautiful partnership. Together with Pierre-Alexis Dumas, Hermès’s Artistic Director, we share the conviction that Christine Nagel will use her personality and talent to write a new perfumery chapter at Hermès.”
