Chris Ruthnaswamy brings nearly 20 years of experience to a new consultancy role with Nuance |
INDIA. As part of a big push to develop its duty free business in India, The Nuance Group has retained former India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) Vice President International Trade Division Chris Ruthnaswamy as a consultant there.
Ruthnaswamy left the state-owned retailer last November after 19 years service. He knows the complexities of the Indian market intimately and will prove a valuable asset as Nuance focuses on the opportunities offered by a market badly under-developed but rich in potential.
Along with China, India is one of the travel retailer’s key targets for growth. The Nuance Group President and CEO Roberto Graziani told The Moodie Report: “We are well advanced in India. We have created a legal entity there and from January 1 we have retained Chris Ruthnaswamy as an exclusive consultant working for us. He knows the system very well indeed.”
More details soon.
