HONG KONG. Nuance-Watson (HK) has become the first retail door in domestic or duty free markets to launch the Kate Moss for Longchamp signature collection. The company unveiled the line at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) yesterday.

Alessandra Piovesana, Regional Managing Director for Nuance-Watson (HK) said: “We take pride in this Asia Pacific exclusive pre-launch as it underlines the brand’s faith, confidence and recognition of our commitment and dedication to growing the French luxury brand and its business while enriching our portfolio of offers available at HKIA.

“It is a privilege we share with our passengers [who are] the first travellers to enjoy this collection. It also represents a major milestone in strengthening our airport as not only the world’s most important travel hub and prestigious location, but also the best business platform for international brands to showcase their brands and products to the world.”

The Kate Moss for Longchamp collection was created by the fashion model along with Artistic Director Sophie Delafontaine. In a statement, Nuance-Watson (HK) said: “Kate put her passion for fashion and her personal experience – of the runway and the red carpet, of travelling the world and of juggling roles as a model and a mother – into her designs.”

The collection’s three themes (Rock n’ Travel, Rock n’ Casual and Rock n’ Glam) are said to reflect different facets of Kate Moss’s life, since she began her career at 14.

Nuance-Watson (HK) added: “Since debuting the first boutique at HKIA in partnership with Nuance-Watson in 2003, Longchamp has long been a favorite among travellers. The new Longchamp boutique was launched in July 2009 in a new expanded retail space at HKIA Terminal 1 East Hall. The new stand-alone boutique has become one of the most visited shopping destinations at the heart of the East Hall retail zone.”

Longchamp was founded in Paris in 1948 by Jean Cassegrain, and the company is still owned and run by the Cassegrain family. Longchamp has more than 130 boutiques worldwide, and is available in some 2,000 multi-brand stores in 101 countries.

The collection has been created around the three themes of Rock ‘n’ Travel (the Gloucester bag is pictured top), Rock ‘n’ Casual (left is the Ladbroke bag) and Rock ‘n’ Glam (Sohoclutch bag, right)
