Oliva Cigars builds on rare harvest conditions with Serie V Melanio Edición Año 2026 Perfecto

The Serie V Melanio Edición Año 2026 Perfecto is designed for aficionados who value rarity and character

Oliva Cigars, part of Vandermarliere Cigar Family (VCF), has unveiled the limited-edition Serie V Melanio Edición Año 2026 Perfecto, described as a ‘Grand Cru’ release.

Presented within the company’s top-end range, the latest release is shaped by an atypical growing season characterised by low rainfall and record-high temperatures from 2023 to 2024.

Despite the challenging climate, these conditions resulted in a favourable growing environment for the company’s carefully selected tobacco varieties.

The Oliva Cigar Company cultivates its premium tobaccos in the Jalapa Valley, benefitting from the region’s fertile plains across central and northern Nicaragua.

The cigar is presented in a special-edition humidor, reflecting its distinctive character

VCF CEO Fred Vandermarliere said: “The Oliva Serie V Melanio is already the top of the top. But this limited edition takes the experience to a level one can only dream about, as these special conditions cannot be man-made; they can only be handed down by nature.

“And so, with every aficionado enjoying this remarkable cigar, we pay homage to that powerful bond between the forces of nature and the skills of the craft.”
