On location with Qatar Duty Free: From Formula 1 fever to flame-grilled fare with Gordon Ramsay

QATAR. This weekend’s Formula 1 Qatar Airways Grand Prix 2025 offered a superb opportunity for Qatar Duty Free to show how its ‘Experiencentricity’ philosophy is being translated into high-octane activity on- and off-airport.

And it delivered spectacularly for the many guests from the track to Hamad International Airport, as these images taken by The Moodie Davitt Report President Dermot Davitt over the weekend demonstrate.

‘The Ultimate Gift Stop’ – Qatar Duty Free wows with its eye-catching Formula 1 installation, including a full-size race car, by the Lamp Bear at Hamad International Airport; the campaign ran across the airport, from departures (above and below) to arrivals baggage carousels (bottom)

We’ll bring you more on each area of activity – from Qatar Duty Free’s collaboration with Louis Vuitton for a luxury lounge at the Lusail International Circuit to a pan-airport F1 campaign that captures the imagination – in coming days.

World-renowned chef and Qatar Duty Free partner Gordon Ramsay hosts a burger & shake masterclass with a select guest list on Monday that included The Moodie Davitt Report President Dermot Davitt, who grapples with the deep complexity of blending strawberries and ice cream (right).  Truly another Moodie Davitt scoop.

Gordon Ramsay explains how to craft the perfect burger, though The Moodie Davitt Report’s final version took on a life of its own. Below, explaining the niceties of burger structure to leading regional influencers who joined the class. Watch out for extensive video from the day, coming soon.

And there was a lot more for Qatar Duty Free’s travel retail media and influencer guests besides, from a visit to sustainably-led sanctuary Torba Farm to the Miami vibe-inspired late-night venue Carbone Beach Club, with a standout appearance by US singer and songwriter Camila Cabello a huge highlight.
