US. AT Cross Co announced this week that the Cross Matrix is among a select group of pen brands to receive the “Best Pen, Contemporary Design Award” from Pen World International’s Ninth Annual Readers’ Choice Awards. The awards presentation is on 19 May in New York.
This is not the first time that AT Cross has received such a recognition. In 2000, the company received Pen World Readers’ Choice Award “Best Contemporary Pen” for the Cross Morph. And last year the Cross Matrix won the coveted 2002 Industrial Design Excellence Bronze Award (IDEA), considered the premier award for the design industry.
Cross Matrix (pictured) is available in two versions. Buyers of either version can also purchase separately the rolling ball or fountain pen module. Suggested retail price for the Matrix is US$70 to US$80.
