Perfetti van Melle focuses on innovation – 15/09/09

NETHERLANDS. Perfetti van Melle will present a new and improved stand, as well as novel concepts from its Chupa Chups and Mentos brands at TFWA World Exhibition next month (Stand number: Blue Village G27).

“We have designed exciting new displays, which will increase visibility in stores tremendously for both our focus brands Mentos and Chupa Chups,” said Perfetti van Melle Area Manager Wouter Heijmann.

“And, as always, our focus is on innovation and during the show we will be presenting two major innovative new concepts: Mentos chewing gum multi-packs and Chupa Chups soft candy,” he added.

MENTOS CHEWING GUM MULTI-PACKS

A “traditional favourite” in the Perfetti assortment since 2007, Mentos chewing gum is now available not only in bottles but in special multi-packs.

In addition, Perfetti van Melle will introduce the new Mentos Chewing Gum Aqua Kiss in two flavours, Pacific and Hawaiian, packaged in a pocket-sized envelope.

Also new is the Mentos Pure Fresh gum in mint and wintergreen (green tea) flavours, available in an eight-pack version.

CHUPA CHUPS SOFT CANDY

Chupa Chups, known for its lollies, has added a variety of soft candies to its product range: Choc-filled, Fruit-filled and Fruit Duo.

“Candy is the largest segment in sugar confectionery although its availability in travel retail is limited. The worldwide success of the Chupa Chups candies in a number of domestic markets has led us to believe that the time is ripe to launch this wonderful new product in the world of travel retail,” Heijmann said.
