The gift box will retail at around US$3,000 |
The full package, priced at around US$3,000, combines bottles of 6yo VS, 13yo VSOP and 23yo XO Cognac, all distilled, aged and assembled in house.
At TFWA Asia Pacific in Singapore, Managing Director Yann Hamonou told The Moodie Report that the product had been bottled for the first time just weeks before.
“We are a new name in travel retail but the family company is long established. It owns only 23 hectares of vines, but has a strong track record distilling for the major houses since the 1970s, with long-held stocks of eaux-de-vie.
“Pierre Lecat was a local watchmaker, a family member, and the line is based around his name and skills, with cues in the packaging that reflect that.”
Hamonou added: “Our aim is quality rather than volume, and travel retail represents a great opportunity for brands at the premium end.”
Lecat Cognac is working with Barry Global Innovation, led by Barry Geoghegan, as distribution partner in travel retail.
