Pilot Coffee Roasters and SSP to land speciality café at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport

CANADA. Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport passenger terminal owner and operator Nieuport Aviation has revealed that local brand Pilot Coffee Roasters will open a speciality café in its transborder lounge this winter. It will be operated by SSP Canada.

Pilot Coffee Roasters’ origins lie in the well-known Leslieville neighbourhood in Toronto, with the airport company noting that it has a reputation for sourcing and serving coffee from ‘world-class’ producers.

A leader in Canada’s speciality coffee industry since 2009, the brand has cafés across Toronto, Oakville and Waterloo, with the airport space set to be its 12th location.

“Following a direct trade sourcing philosophy, they roast to reflect the skill and care of the farmer, as well as the natural qualities of its origin,” the airport company noted.
