USA/CANADA. Airport hospitality company Plaza Premium Group (PPG) has made three key leadership appointments in North America. Akshay Sood, Peter Dhillon and Glen Piner have been named as Regional Directors for Eastern Canada, Western Canada and the US respectively.
Based in Toronto, Sood will oversee operations in both Toronto and Montreal, stepping up from a PPG Head of Operations role, based in Vancouver. He has a distinguished career in luxury hospitality and airport services spanning over 15 years, working in senior roles for the likes of Rosewood Hotels & Resorts and Sofitel.
In the new role, Sood leads a team of 300 in Toronto, managing seven lounges and providing meet-and-assist services to approximately 1.4 million guests annually. In Montreal, he will direct 160 staff members across three lounges, with two additional lounges set to open soon.

Appointed as Western Canada Regional Director, Dhillon brings over 25 years’ expertise in business development and team leadership across hospitality, food & beverage and franchise operations in North America and the Caribbean.
He will assume strategic oversight of PPG’s Western Canada’s operations, guiding the region’s service delivery, team performance and business execution across lounges, food & beverage and guest services.
New US Regional Director Piner, formerly PPG US Director of Operations, will now oversee all PPG operations in the country. With over 25 years’ experience, he brings a strong background in leadership, business transformation and stakeholder engagement across the hospitality and food service sectors.
PPG said Piner, who will be based in Dallas, will play a key role in shaping guest experience strategies, guiding new lounge openings and introducing innovative food & beverage concepts.
