CHINA, HONG KONG. Plaza Premium Group’s (PPG) new Plaza Premium First facility has become the first independent lounge to feature a fully certified halal menu at Hong Kong International Airport.
It combines global cuisine with Southeast Asian favourites and popular local dishes.

“Discover a lavish spread of appetisers and desserts, where Chinese and Western inspirations come together in every bite,” Plaza Premium Group noted.
Guests can savour a menu of hearty breakfast options available until 11am daily, including Cantonese Congee paired with Dumplings & Rice Rolls, A La Minute Scramble Egg & Satay Beef in a Bun and a full English Breakfast.

The all-day menu then kicks in showcasing dishes such as the signature Vietnamese Duck Pho, a steaming bowl of aromatic broth, layered with delicate rice noodles and succulent slices of duck. The meal also features fragrant herbs, crisp bean sprouts and a squeeze of lime.
Also on offer is the Thai Style Sauteed Spicy Chicken Rice with Fried Egg, featuring tender morsels of chicken stir-fried with bold Thai spices, served atop fluffy jasmine rice; and the Fish Ball Noodle with XO Sauce & Crispy Fish Skin.
Vegetarian and gluten-free choices are also available to cater to all preferences.

To complement the dining experience, the Plaza Premium First lounge features a selection of refined spirits, sparkling wines, house wines and cocktails from its ‘Mobile Bar’.
Also available are non-alcoholic beverages, including fresh juices, soft drinks and a wide selection of teas.
Complementing the high-class food & beverage offer are other facilities, including exclusive bathrooms and showers (with amenities); a neck & shoulder massage service; high-speed wifi; flight information displays; charging stations; and a baggage storage service.
A local artwork extravaganza
The Plaza Premium First lounge is further lifted by the display of modern artworks from three renowned Chinese artists, Zao Wou-Ki, Chu Teh Chun and Zeng Yang.
Internationally known for his lyrical abstractions, the works of Zao Wou-Ki blend Eastern calligraphic traditions with Western modernism, “evoking vast landscapes and poetic emotion” in the words of PPG.

Chu Teh Chu’s canvases are symphonies of light and energy, according to PPG. His dynamic brushwork bridges Chinese ink painting and European abstraction.
The vibrant compositions of Zeng Yang capture the spirit of contemporary China, weaving together tradition and innovation. “His expressive style and bold palette have made his works sought-after in both Asian and international art scenes,” PPG noted.
