The Chopard boutique enhances the strong luxury goods portfolio at HIA |
QATAR. Qatar Duty Free has unveiled a Chopard boutique at Hamad International Airport. It is the latest addition to Qatar Duty Free’s portfolio of luxury global brands in the airport’s 25,000sq m duty free shopping area, which houses more than 70 retail outlets.
Designed by French architect Thierry Despont, the Chopard boutique is said to “exude a warm and intimate atmosphere” intended to create the feeling of visiting a private home, with areas accommodating high-end jewellery, watches and accessories for men and women.
“We are delighted to welcome Chopard to the very exclusive group of luxury brands that have been handpicked by our team at Qatar Duty Free to have a presence at Hamad International Airport,” said Qatar Duty Free Senior Vice President Keith Hunter. “We believe Chopard is a natural addition to our portfolio of high-end retail brands and will offer our customers further sophisticated shopping options when they visit Qatar Duty Free at Hamad International Airport.”
The design features light-toned white oak wood, rich leathers, silk and velvets. The detail of the boutique was developed in conjunction with Caroline Scheufele, Co-President and Artistic Director of Chopard, who said: “With this new environment, we want to encourage our clients to discover the multiple facets of the Chopard universe.”
Other luxury brands at Hamad International include Bulgari, Hermès, Giorgio Armani, Hugo Boss, MontBlanc, Rolex and Chanel.
