Rémi Chadapaux leaves Scental for key YSL role – 07/09/09

UK. Rémi Chadapaux, General Manager of Scental since 2005, has been named Deputy General Manager in charge of Retail Marketing at YSL Beauté, which was acquired by the L’Oréal group last year.

He will be succeeded at Scental by Olivier Dubos. Both appointments are effective this month.

Chadapaux’s remit will be to oversee the creation, leadership and co-ordination of all functions related to developing YSL Beauté brands in the field.

L’Oréal paid tribute to Chadapaux, who has spent nine years in travel retail, describing him as a well-rounded manager whose intelligence and vivacity were much admired, along with his pertinent analytical abilities, and his capacity to mobilise his team regarding ambitious projects.

He is also credited as being “instrumental” in building L’Oréal’s thriving Scental business.

Chadapaux was also an active and effective board member of the Asia Pacific Travel Retail Association (APTRA). “Rémi has been a valuable member of the APTRA Board for the last few years, and we will miss his support and his contribution to our association,” said APTRA President Sunil Tuli. “I have had the pleasure of working with Rémi on a professional basis as well, and wish him all the very best in his new role.”

Dubos – Chadapaux’s replacement – has much knowledge of and experience within the Asian market, having previously been in charge of all local and travel retail Asian markets for YSL Beauté.

“Dubos’ sales acumen and excellent leadership qualities will enable him to skilfully manage our travel retail Asia subsidiary, whose development potential is among the highest in the world,” L’Oréal noted.
