Russ Berrie Treetops Giraffe baby toys |
UK. Russ Berrie is providing what it calls a range of ‘perfect solutions’ for buyers of children’s plush and gifts at this year’s TFWA World Exhibition (Stand number: Blue Village D3).
The Russ Berrie stand will present differently themed areas. In addition, a plush production area will show in depth the level of quality and detail that goes into making the items, it said.
The “˜Oasis’ area will focus on Russ Berrie’s Camel character range, which includes recently introduced Sandy Camel – complete with bright pink oversized lips and feet.
A separate corner will highlight souvenir and destination bears, which can be personalised with specific countries or cities, flags, or by retailers/airlines.
Russ has now extended its ability to produce personalised accessories such as t-shirts in different colours and sizes (an “˜I love Cannes’ bear will feature as an example), as well as fleece scarves. These can be personalised in relatively small quantities for test-runs or seasonal promotions, and the t-shirts and scarves can be used on any plush where they fit.
Russ Berrie’s Nurse Activity Doll |
Russ is said to be one of the few companies to cover the baby and toddler group and believes there is much untapped potential in this area. The company will have a dedicated area for this sector showing its range of gift ideas, including a brand new selection of Activity Dolls featuring a Ballerina, Nurse, Doctor and Vet. Also new is a collection of Treetops Giraffe baby toys including a wrist rattle, blanket, rattles and plush.
The stand will also feature an “˜Airline Corner’ featuring best selling items for inflight and showing how characters such as Easy Jet’s Gulliver bear have evolved. There will also be a “˜Top Recommendation’ area, enabling buyers to see all the best selling lines at a glance, plus areas for Peepers, including recent additions Shelby and Shecky pirates and the life-like Yomiko plush.
In addition, individual displays will highlight the new range of licensed Harley-Davidson mugs, all featuring the classic Bar and Shield logo.
Finally Russ will be showing a new flat backed premium wooden bookcase-style merchandiser, which can be used on its own or back to back for display or smaller sized items.
Russ Berrie Duty Free Manager Lee Caddick said: “This is an exciting time for Russ Berrie and our stand in Cannes will reflect our commitment to travel retail and our outstanding portfolio of children’s plush and gift items. This year, despite some setbacks, has been very positive for Russ Berrie with our existing clients and we are now very keen to begin dialogue with new potential business partners whom we hope to welcome to the stand in Cannes.”
