Russ has updated its range with new dressed bears, including a Beefeater |
UK. Russ Berrie has been named sole supplier of plush toys to Autogrill’s Glorious Britain stores for the next year.
As part of the new agreement, Russ has updated its range with new dressed bears: Scots Guard, Scots Piper, Beefeater and Policeman. All are dressed in replica clothing and come in large and small sizes (35cm and 25cm) as well as key chains.
In addition, Russ has produced two Jack and Jill 35cm bears in stylised Union Jack fleece jackets (traditional colours for Jack and pink tones for Jill). The two bears have been so well received that Russ is now looking at extending the range with a gift collection, the company said.
Finally there are promotional bears which can be used as on a pwp basis. The 25cm sized cute bears come with a variety of destination inspired fleece jackets, for example bearing the Union Jack or image of Windsor Castle.
Retail prices will range from approximately £4.99 to £20.
Russ Berrie Duty Free/National Account Manager Beckie Kington said: “With all the massive changes following the purchase by Autogrill of Alpha Group, Aldeasa and World Duty Free, we are delighted to have maintained and secured our ongoing business with Glorious Britain. The destination concept is one which Russ has great experience with and we are extremely optimistic about the new range that Glorious Britain will be offering. There will be around 22 skus in all to start with and we’re confident of adding more items in due course.”
Previously owned by the Alpha Group, Glorious Britain is a chain of destination merchandise speciality stores offering a range of gifts based on British and London icons. They are located at London Heathrow, London Gatwick North, London Stansted airports and Eurotunnel Folkestone. There is also a High Street store in Windsor, Berks, UK and products can be purchased via a dedicated internet site.
