UK. The Scottish Liqueur Centre has launched Columba Cream Liqueur.
Produced and bottled at Bankfoot in Scotland, the new liqueur is 100% natural, made from single malt Scotch whisky, fresh cream and honey (plus natural annatto for colour enhancement).
Scottish Liqueur Centre Managing Director Kenny MacKay commented: “Although the market is very competitive and has a dominant brand leader, our research tells us that there is an opportunity for a genuinely premium product to thrive in this sector. We have worked hard to ensure that, in the cream liqueur category, the term “˜premium’ will be re-defined by the new Columba Cream.”
Besides its UK home market, key export markets for Columba Cream in the short-term will be the US, Canada, Italy, Germany and Scandinavia. The company is seeking distributors in these territories.
