SOUTH KOREA. Shinsegae Duty Free has opened an UGG store at the retailer’s main Myeong-dong branch in time for the upcoming autumn shopping season.
The opening on Friday (20 September) follows the brand’s successful launch with Shinsegae Duty Free at Incheon International Airport Terminal 2.
UGG has unveiled a fresh collaboration for the autumn/winter 2024 season with K-pop band NewJeans member Hanni, the brand’s Global Ambassador.
The campaign, Feels Like UGG, builds on the success of last season’s partnership, which resonated with younger consumers.
The results speak for themselves, Shinsegae Duty Free said, as UGG’s sales for the first half surged by +60% year-on-year across the country.
Shoppers at Shinsegae Duty Free Myeong-dong store will be treated to a curated selection of UGG’s latest offerings, including the New Heights collection worn by Hanni.
This line reimagines UGG’s classic styles, offering five different options from ankle-length mini boots to calf-high short boots and comfortable clogs, allowing customers to find the perfect fit for their individual style.
In addition to footwear, the store will also showcase a range of autumn/winter essentials, from cosy puffer jackets to fleece outerwear, all designed to pair effortlessly with casual staples such as joggers, jeans and cotton pants.
Together with UGG shoes, these pieces create a head-to-toe look that’s perfect for the colder seasons, Shinsegae Duty Free said. “We saw incredible success last season with the products Hanni wore selling out quickly,” added a spokesperson.
“With the continued popularity of UGG, we’re confident this fall/winter collection will be just as successful. We’re especially excited to connect with trend-savvy shoppers in their 20s and 30s, offering them the iconic UGG boots along with new, fashion-forward items.”
