Shiseido enhances Zen with limited-edition Gold Elixir fragrance

Shiseido will extend its Zen fragrance franchise this autumn with the introduction of the limited-edition Zen Gold Elixir Eau de Parfum Absolue. The scent was previewed in June at a press launch in Paris.

Zen Gold Elixir was inspired by the flow of Zen energy, according to the brand. It was created to celebrate the Holiday season.

The product colour-scheme is gold; vibrant brushstrokes adorn the flacon and the outer carton. The design is by Marehide Susuki, a master of Sumi brushwork, who created the original Zen packaging, introduced in 1964.

The floral amber juice was composed by Michel Almairac. The key ingredients are jasmine, magnolia, vanilla, patchouli and amber.
