Spirit of the sea: Victorinox extends Maverick Collection of diving watches

Extending the collection: Five new lines join the Maverick range of diving watches

Swiss lifestyle brand Victorinox has extended its popular Maverick diving watch collection with five new timepieces. The new models blend contemporary style with functionality and are available to order with Victorinox’s global travel retail team.

The Maverick Collection watches were inspired by the adventurous spirit of top sea divers. One of the key highlights of the range is a unidirectional bezel, which is a function developed for divers to record exact underwater times. The line is water-resistant up to 100m.

The five new Maverick models include two chronographs with 43mm cases and symmetrical sub-dial arrangements. The line-up is completed with three three-hand Swiss-made quartz movement executions with the same dimensions.

The collection features two chronographs and three three-hand executions in satin black, green and navy colour ways

With a striking combination of brushed and polished surfaces, the Switzerland-made watches have been equipped with anti-reflective sapphire crystals and integrated crown protection for endurance. Each Maverick watch comes with a five-year warranty.

In addition, the watches’ polished hands and dial markers are made with Super-LumiNova material that appear in contrast with the background of its sunray satin back, green or brown dials. They also feature a stainless steel bracelet with a safety deployment clasp and diver extension. The watches have been designed with a date display at six o’clock which balances out Victorinox’s cross and shield emblem at 12 o’clock.

“Our watches have recorded impressive sell-out figures in travel retail this year, particularly in Latin America, which is linked to consumers investing in higher priced, quality products,” commented Victorinox Head of Global Channels Thomas Bodenmann. “With this trend likely to continue into next year, we are optimistic that our watches will turn in another strong performance in 2022, buoyed by quality collections such as the Maverick.”

The watch category has performed particularly well in Latin America, Thomas Bodenmann says, a trend he expects to continue in 2022
