NEW ZEALAND/AOTEAROA. Global travel restaurateur SSP has secured a contract to operate five outlets at Auckland Airport, reinforcing its expansion strategy in New Zealand and strengthening its presence at the country’s largest aviation gateway.
The agreement covers five food & beverage locations across airside and landside areas. It includes four SSP-developed concepts alongside the first airport location in New Zealand for Vietnamese street food brand Roll’d.

The latest contract aligns with Auckland Airport’s long-term terminal development programme and represents a significant addition to SSP’s regional portfolio.
SSP has created four bespoke concepts for the airport, and said each is tailored to its location and intended to reflect New Zealand’s food culture while meeting the needs of today’s travellers.

Auckland Coffee Exports is positioned as a premium coffee-led café and bar inspired by the country’s coffee heritage, while NZ Pie Co. & Croissant Lab combines gourmet pies with sweet and savoury pastries in a grab-and-go format.
The Local will offer a family-focused café and bar, while a fifth SSP-owned concept centred on healthier food options is planned for the landside estate.
All five outlets will feature self-order technology from launch, supporting operational efficiency and a streamlined customer experience.

The win builds on SSP’s established presence across Australia and New Zealand as the company continues to pursue growth opportunities in key aviation markets.
SSP Asia Pacific CEO Jonathan Robinson said, “Securing these locations at Auckland Airport represents an important step in our growth strategy for New Zealand and reflects our confidence in the long-term opportunities within the market.
“Auckland Airport is a strategically important gateway and an ideal location to showcase the strengths of our business.

“The concepts we have developed place local relevance and passenger needs at the centre of the offer, while drawing on the operational expertise and innovation we have built across the wider region.
“We look forward to working closely with Auckland Airport to bring these concepts to life and to supporting the airport’s future growth ambitions through outstanding food & beverage experiences.”
Auckland Airport Head of Retail Lucy Thomas commented, “This portfolio reflects the quality and variety we want to offer travellers, with concepts that celebrate local flavour and character alongside the convenience today’s travellers expect.
“It’s a strong fit with our long-term vision for the terminal, and we look forward to seeing these new outlets come to life for our customers.”
