SSP Canada opens Romer’s Fresh Kitchen & Bar at Vancouver Airport

CANADA. SSP Canada, a division of SSP Group, has opened local brand Romer’s Fresh Kitchen & Bar at Vancouver International Airport.

The official launch took place on 21 August with Romer’s Founder Chef Jim Romer; Extra Mile Hospitality Partner Kelly Gordon; Vancouver Airport Director of Passenger Retail Experience Benedict Ma; Director of Indigenous Relations Mary Point and SSP Canada Vice President of Brands and Concepts Richard Wilson in attendance.

Founded in 2010, Romer’s has built a reputation around a simple, fresh and local approach to casual dining, with menus reflecting the relaxed west coast lifestyle of Vancouver. The outlet is located post-security in the transborder area, offering travellers the chance to experience “a taste of Vancouver.”

“With the opening of Romer’s, we’re thrilled that passengers now have yet another favourite Vancouver restaurant to enjoy — with high-quality menu options made from locally sourced ingredients — as they travel through the airport.”

SSP Canada Vice President of Brands and Concepts Richard Wilson added: “As a British Columbia native, bringing local restaurants to Vancouver International Airport is near and dear to my heart.
