UK. Leading F&B specialist SSP has opened its 250th Caffe Ritazza coffee bar at the UK’s fast-growing Liverpool John Lennon Airport.
Located in the airside Departures area, the new outlet has seating for over 100 customers and offers coffee served by baristas, as well as wines, alcoholic beverages and hot and cold snacks.
Caffe Ritazza is the fourth largest coffee bar chain in the UK, seeing like-for-like sales grow by +20% to £70 million in 2005.
Richard Barclay, International Brand Director at Caffe Ritazza, said the latest opening was part of the company’s strategy to target key travel retail locations both at home and overseas. The aim is to open a further 120 outlets by the end of 2007.
SSP made the announcement at the 15th ACI Europe Airport Trading Conference & Exhibition, which is being held this week.
