SINGAPORE. Changi Airport Group, the Ministry of Transport and the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore have launched an immersive art exhibition showcasing the vision, design and innovations behind the forthcoming Terminal 5.
Called T5 in the Making, the exhibition was inaugurated today (5 January) by Acting Minister for Transport and Senior Minister of State for Finance Jeffrey Siow. The opening ceremony was attended by Senior Minister of State Sun Xueling, alongside representatives from across the airport and aviation community.
T5 in the Making, open to the public from 6 January and running until March, is located in the Terminal 3 arrivals hall and is free to visit. Since public registration opened on 15 December, some 15,000 visitors have already signed up to attend, the partners said.

Five zones, one Changi story

T5 In the Making presents the role of aviation in shaping Singapore’s development and explores how Terminal 5 will support the nation’s future growth.
The experience is structured across five themed zones, beginning with Changi Airport’s strategic move from Paya Lebar to Changi, before progressing to an in-depth exploration of T5’s scale, design philosophy and key innovations.
Upon check-in, guests receive a personalised ‘boarding pass’, which also serves as a stamp rally card, encouraging exploration across all exhibition zones.

Zone 1’s Another Bold Singapore Chapter outlines how Terminal 5 will support the continued growth of air travel in Asia while ensuring Singapore remains globally connected and competitive.
Built on Firm Foundations in Zone 2 reflects on the pioneering decisions taken by earlier generations and how these choices have shaped Changi Airport and continue to inform its future direction. This area also spotlights the airport community, with personal stories tracing Changi’s evolution over time.

From Vision to Reality (Zone 3) immerses visitors in an experiential environment that brings the ambition, scale and complexity of Terminal 5 to life.
Cool Tech, Warm Touch (Zone 4) focuses on the technologies being explored to address future challenges, such as manpower and sustainability, while preserving Changi Airport’s service standards.

The journey culminates in Zone 5, Come Imagine with T5, where an AI-powered interactive mural invites guests to visualise the possibilities of Changi Airport’s future terminal.
Visitors can purchase Buddy Bear merchandise, including keychain plushies, as a souvenir of their experience.
