TAG Heuer adds Brad Pitt to its list of celebrity spokespeople – 01/02/05

The latest advertising campaign sees Pitt fronting the “What are you made of”¦?” campaign alongside actress Uma Thurman, golf ace Tiger Woods and Wimbledon champion Maria Sharapova

SWITZERLAND. LVMH-owned TAG Heuer has signed up Brad Pitt to be the spokesperson for the brand.

The latest advertising campaign sees Pitt fronting the “What are you made of”¦?” campaign alongside actress Uma Thurman, McLaren-Mercedes Formula 1 driver Juan-Pablo Montoya, golf ace Tiger Woods and Wimbledon champion Maria Sharapova.

The campaign was shot by fashion photographer Patrick Demarchelier, famous for his portraits of celebrities, supermodels and royalty.

The company said the campaign “perfectly embodies the blend of sports and glamour for which TAG Heuer is renowned”.

TAG Heuer will also partner with other major movie and sport stars on a local and regional basis in 2005. To capture the Asia Pacific market, it has signed up Chinese NBA Houston Rockets player Yao Ming, Bollywood superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Sushmita Sen, and Japan’s top fashion model Ai Tominaga to promote the watch.

TAG Heuer has earned immense popularity through its strong advertising and marketing campaigns. “Success. It’s a mind game” was one of its most visually evocative and captivating campaigns to date, running from 1995 to 1997.
