LATVIA. TAV Operation Services (TAV OS) has been awarded a fresh 12-year business lounge services contract at Riga Airport following an international tender process, extending its long-standing partnership with Latvia’s principal gateway.
The company, which has operated the main 633sq m business lounge at the airport under its Primeclass brand for several years, will continue to manage and develop the premium hospitality offer as Riga Airport continues its mission to enhance the passenger experience.

As reported, the other 12-year contract winners include Avolta (duty free and food & beverage) and TheMillerGroup (convenience retail, under the WHSmith brand). The airport company estimates the combined agreements to be worth more than €1 billion (US1.17 billion) in sales value over the contract terms.
Under its renewed lounges contract, TAV OS said it will introduce an updated Primeclass concept centred on a more “lifestyle-oriented” approach to airport hospitality, combining lounge services with locally inspired design and food & beverage offers, and enhanced guest services.
Announcing the contract award, TAV OS highlighted its ambition to position airport lounges as part of a broader passenger journey rather than standalone facilities.

TAV Airports Chief Commercial Officer and TAV Operation Services CEO Aude Ferrand said: “We are honoured to deepen our collaboration with Riga Airport, building on years of partnership and shared commitment to enhance airport hospitality. TAV Operation Services focuses on integrating hospitality into the airport ecosystem, connecting travellers, airports and partners for a seamless guest journey.
“Airport hospitality is undergoing a profound transformation. Today, travellers expect more than comfort; they seek experiences that are seamless, personalised and meaningful throughout their journey.
“The future of airport hospitality will be defined not only by physical space but also by how intelligent services, operations and digital capabilities come together around the needs of the guest.
“At TAV Operation Services, we believe our role is to help bring hospitality more deeply into the airport ecosystem – connecting lounges, services, operations and digital touchpoints to create a more integrated and guest-focused journey.

“Through Primeclass, we will continue bringing our global expertise to RIX Riga Airport while creating experiences that reflect the unique character of Latvia.
“Together with our partners at Riga Airport, we look forward to shaping the next generation of airport hospitality and contributing to the airport’s long-term vision for growth and service excellence.”
Riga Airport Chairperson of the Board Laila Odiņa welcomed the continuation of the partnership. “TAV Operation Services has been a trusted partner at RIX Riga Airport for many years and we are pleased to continue this cooperation following the international tender,” she said.
“Primeclass is an important part of our passenger experience, and we look forward to further developing premium hospitality services that add value to the overall journey at Riga Airport.”
TAV Operation Services now manages airport hospitality services across more than 200 airports in 61 countries, serving over 7 million passengers annually through its portfolio of lounge, meet-and-greet, fast-track and related airport services. ✈
