TFWA releases programme for upcoming Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference

SINGAPORE/INTERNATIONAL. Tax Free World Association (TFWA) has announced the programme for the Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference, to be held from 12 to 16 May at the Marina Bay Sands complex in Singapore.

TFWA President Erik Juul-Mortensen will flag off the TFWA Asia Pacific Conference on 13 May with a state of the industry address. This will be followed by remarks from APTRA President Sunil Tuli and Minister of Trade and Industry for Singapore His Excellency Alvin Tan.

At the event, author and economist Dr Keyu Jin will outline her perspectives on the economic outlook of the Asia Pacific region and analyse its macroeconomic challenges. 

Business marketing expert and author Dr Nirmalya Kumar will address the increasing significance of the Indian market and the extensive opportunities across the region. 

Physicist, author and professor Dr Michio Kaku will close the conference with insights into future technological advancements and its potential impact on the duty free and travel retail industry. 

TFWA President Erik Juul-Mortensen opened last year’s TFWA Asia Pacific Conference and confirmed that the event would be held in Singapore until at least 2026, following agreement with local authorities

Conference moderators include former AirAsia X CEO Azran Osman-Rani and TFWA Conference Director Michele Miranda. 

For the first time, the TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition will open on the same day as the conference, with delegates having access to the exhibition from 2.30pm.

Attendees can expect to gain valuable insights from two informative workshops, ‘China Watch’ and ‘Decoding Today’s Dwell Time’, scheduled to be held from 8am to 9am. These sessions will explore key trends impacting the travel retail industry. 

TFWA i.lab Asia is returning to the event this year and will be located on Marina Bay Sands Level 1. The immersive platform will showcase futuristic concepts set to transform consumer experiences in the channel.
