UAE. Dubai Duty Free has announced the two latest winners of its Millennium Millionaire draw, held yesterday at the Sheikh Rashid Terminal of Dubai International Airport.
The holder of winning ticket number 0539 in Series 83 was Major Aadel Ali Ahmed Alghais Alzaabi, a UAE national residing in Ras Al Khaimah. The police officer from the Ministry of Interior bought his ticket on 21 February.

The second winner was Dubai-based Indian national David Alwyn D’Souza, who held ticket number 1801 in Series 84. An Area Manager for Al Khaleej Ceramics, Mr D’Souza bought his winning ticket on 10 April when he travelled to Bombay on holiday.
“I’d never won anything, especially not something as huge as the Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire Promotion,” he enthused. “I am extremely grateful to the organisers of the promotion, Dubai Duty Free. Thank you so much for making my day.”
The draw was officiated by Dubai Duty Free Managing Director Colm McLoughlin and Deputy Managing Director George Horan. Also present were Director of Corporate Communications Salah Tahlak and Manager – Events, Advertising and Media Sinead El Sibai.

Following the Millennium Millionaire draw, Dubai Duty Free held a presentation for the earlier winner of the US$1 million promotion. Ioannis Leonidou, a Cypriot businessman based in Cyprus, was presented with a ceremonial cheque by McLoughlin and Horan.
Three more winners, each winning a luxury vehicle, were also announced in the Finest Surprise promotion.
Arcangelo Della Penna, a Sharjah-based Italian national, picked up the Harley Davidson FLHR Road King, while Derek Harper, a Dubai-based British national, won a BMW 750Li. Saparin R. Rojan, a Malaysian national based in Malaysia, won a Harley Davidson FXSTB Night Train.
A presentation to previous bike and car winners also took place following the draw.
Ravindiran Gubendiran, an Indian national based in Fujairah, walked away with a Mercedes Benz S500 while Nitin Khanjani, a Dubai-based Indian national, won the Porsche 911 CC. Karim Kfouri, a Turkish national who attended with his mother, picked up a Harley Davidson. Karim will celebrate his 13th birthday on 21 June.
