AUSTRALIA. Melbourne-based gourmet chocolatier The Chocolate Box is celebrating 68 years in business, reflecting on its evolution from a single neighbourhood shop into a 13-store operation with an expanding travel retail footprint.
Founded by Rose and Richard Adler in 1958, the family-owned confectioner began with a shop on Burke Road in Camberwell, Melbourne, which remains open today.
The business has grown into a contemporary Australian chocolate and gifting brand with a network that includes airport locations in Melbourne, Sydney, Perth and Adelaide.
The company said its expansion has been supported by trusted relationships with a network of artisan chocolatiers across Australia, who produce and supply more than 90% of its chocolate range.
For seasonal celebrations such as Christmas, the company complements its core assortment with traditional chocolates and biscuits sourced from Europe.
The Chocolate Box Owner and Chief Chocolatier Paul Ryan said, “More than ever, our focus remains on affordable indulgence by continually giving customers something new to discover.

“For The Chocolate Box, this means staying true to our heritage while continuing to refresh the experience through new products, seasonal ranges, gifting, collaborations and instore experiences.” ✈
