The Dalmore 45yo launches exclusively with DFS in Singapore

The Dalmore distillery has launched a 45yo malt whisky exclusively with the DFS Group.

As reported, the whisky was showcased at DFS Group’s fourth annual Masters of Wines and Spirits in Singapore on 8 November.

Crafted by Master Distiller Richard Paterson, this limited-edition 45yo single cask expression (41%abv) was originally put into cask in November 1968. It has been finished in Matusalem Sherry from the Gonzalez Byass bodega as well as vintage port, which is said to give the whisky a taste of roasted walnuts, espresso coffee and sweet plums.

“This prestigious whisky is an assemblage of rare Dalmore’s drawn from the finest woods from 1967, 1968 and 1969,” Paterson said. “These aged whiskies, pulled from the deepest corners of the distillery warehouse, create radiant colours of glittering mahogany gold, as well as a whisper of mulled wine and ginger figs on the nose. Quite simply, this whisky is stunning.”

Whyte & Mackay Travel Retail Director Francesco Scaglione commented: “The DFS Master of Wines and Spirits event is an important occasion on the travel retail calendar. We are thrilled to be involved with DFS as they undoubtedly have one of the finest wines and spirits collections in Asia. The Dalmore is an exceptional whisky and we are honoured to be showcasing it at such a prestigious event.”

Only 30 bottles of The Dalmore 45yo will be available exclusively at DFS retail outlets at a recommended retail price of SGD31,888 or US$24,684.
