The Aramis and Designer Fragrances division of The Estée Lauder Companies has signed a multi-year agreement for the exclusive worldwide license of the Tory Burch fragrance business. The deal marks the latter’s debut in the beauty industry. The first Tory Burch fragrance products will be introduced in 2013.
Launched in 2004, Tory Burch is a US sportswear brand with an “eclectic sensibility and an attainable price point”. It is said to embody the personal style and spirit of its CEO and designer Tory Burch.
“Tory Burch is more than an innovative designer; she’s a lifestyle brand,” noted Aramis and Designer Fragrances Global Brand President Veronique Gabai-Pinsky. “Tory empowers women with her clothes, creativity and experimentation of modern designs. She has an inspiring and affordable sensibility that we know will transcend into the fragrance industry.”
“I’m thrilled to partner with The Estée Lauder Companies, an iconic company that has been a tremendous inspiration to me in business and philanthropy,” added Burch. “Fragrance is a natural extension of our brand – we will create unique fragrances that complement a woman’s innate beauty. Fragrance is a part of my daily routine, and it evokes strong memories of my mother and grandmother. I still remember their favourite scents.”
