The Lancaster Group unveils new seasonal launch portfolio

FRANCE. The Lancaster group is strengthening its fragrance portfolio with three new launches. Lancaster Aquazur, a women’s scent, is being introduced in selected European, Nordic and Central American markets from this month. It was inspired by – and is designed to evoke – the group’s Mediterranean heritage (the brand was born in Monaco in 1946).

Aquazur is described as a fresh yet sensual composition. It was created by Quest’s Francis Kurkdjian. The light blue juice features notes o f lemon, bitter orange, Provencal verbena and Sicilian bergamot. It is presented in a transparent, cylinder-style flacon, topped with a silver- and gold-coloured stopper.

Also launching this month in Europe (rolling out to Nordic markets in May and the Caribbean in June) is a new duo from Davidoff. A limited-edition line, Davidoff Cool Water and Cool Water Woman Frozen Fragrance will be available throughout spring and summer 2004. Both feature a lighter fragrance concentration than the original versions.

Both Frozen Fragrance edts are presented in blue frosted flacons. The outer cartons feature an “˜ice cube’ design effect, in contrasting blue and white colours.

On the cosmetics front, Lancaster has overhauled its self-tanning range, and added several new products. The collection now features products for the face and body, tinted and untinted, with or without a sun protection factor, in a variety of shades and textures.

The line includes Fast Dry Bronze Mist, Instant Bronze Foam, Silk Bronze Moisturizing Milk SPF6 (in Medium and Intense) and Aqua Bronze Gel.

Lastly, within make-up, Lancaster has unveiled a new Côte d’Azur colour collection, which features warm, glowing Mediterranean-inspired shades. These include Glamour Gloss lipstick in Fig, Caramel and Pomegranate; Infinite Glamour Waterproof Mascara in Blue; and Mediterranean Bronze Powder in Light Tan and Sun Tan.
