Visual engagement specialist The Look Company has extended its integrated branding expertise into airports and other public environments, combining graphics, wayfinding, dimensional elements, lighting and custom fabrication to transform spaces into immersive brand environments.

Originally focused on retail, sports and event settings, the company is now extending its approach to airports, campuses, healthcare facilities and other high-traffic environments. It is moving beyond traditional signage to reimagine lobbies, corridors, terminals and concourses as spaces that actively shape the visitor experience.

Known for projects including the 2026 FIFA World Cup and work with brands such as Skechers and Lululemon, The Look Company integrates branding across the full environment.

Its work with San José International Airport demonstrates how this approach can bring added energy to passenger spaces, with the company responding to the airport’s vision for an arrivals area inspired by the momentum surrounding the Super Bowl and FIFA World Cup.

The arrival experience was designed with more than just traditional signage, using motion, dimensional graphics and interactive elements to turn the route to baggage claim into an immersive environment. The installation was built to withstand the constant passenger flow of a major airport.

Beyond airports, the approach can be applied across a range of environments, including universities, museums and corporate headquarters. Universities can brand entire campuses for the academic year, museums can carry a cohesive design language from entrances through to galleries, while corporate headquarters can redesign lobbies to create a strong first impression.

With design, production and installation all managed internally, The Look Company can take on large-scale projects without outsourcing. The company can support clients from initial concept through to delivery and customisation.

Across sectors, the company develops solutions around how each space is used and experienced. These include:

  • Turn an arrival concourse into a city’s first impression. The arrival space can reflect the destination’s identity while creating additional branding opportunities for the airport or station, city and sponsors.
  • Give every wall a role in the brand, ‘not just a coat of paint. Custom wall graphics and printed acoustic panels can extend branding beyond lobbies into hallways and conference rooms while also helping manage sound.
  • Make a waiting room feel more caring through thoughtful design. Well-designed healthcare environments can make waiting areas more comfortable while creating a consistent expression of the institution’s identity.
  • Turn a lobby into the clearest statement of the brand. In corporate headquarters and hotels, the lobby is a key arrival and high-traffic space where visual branding can establish the identity of the building.
  • Help visitors find their way as part of the brand experience. Integrated wayfinding using printed, sculptural and illuminated elements can guide people through campuses, venues and terminals while reinforcing the space’s visual character.
  • Build once, evolve for years. Spaces can be designed to remain effective through a season, academic year or phased renovation, allowing branding to be refreshed without a reset.

The Look Company Global CEO Jacob Burke said: “For a long time, the places we pass through or spend time in every day were treated as background.

“Brands, companies and cities are realising those spaces are some of the most valuable experiences they own, and they should feel as considered as any stadium or flagship store. Because we design, build and install everything ourselves, we can bring that level of experience to an entire space at once, whether it lives for a weekend or a decade.”

The Look Company produces its public-space products in-house at three North American facilities in Seattle, Tampa and Barrie, with additional production in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. As a G7 Colorspace Master Qualified company, it uses eight-colour, 600dpi printing to maintain consistent colour and quality across locations and surfaces.
