INTERNATIONAL. Welcome to the July/August 2026 edition of The Moodie Davitt Magazine.

In this issue we present our definitive annual guide to the world’s Top Travel Retailers, measured by their 2025 turnover.

Avolta has retained the number one position for a third consecutive year. The group also tops our separate Top 5 F&B Operators ranking and leads our combined retail and food & beverage table, underlining the scale and breadth of its global business.

China Duty Free Group and Lagardère Travel Retail complete the retail top three, while SSP Group and Areas follow Avolta in the travel F&B ranking.

Our detailed commentary examines the performance and prospects of the leading players, alongside the forces reshaping the industry.

Among them are changing consumer behaviour, softer Chinese spending, pressure on the Korean duty-free market and geopolitical uncertainty.

We also present the full roll-call of honour from the second annual Travel Retail Exclusive (TREX) Awards. The winners range from destination-inspired products to immersive, cross-category collaborations, demonstrating how exclusivity can give travellers a compelling reason to engage with the offer.

Rounding out the issue, our review of The Moodies Awards celebrates the social and digital campaigns reshaping how airports, retailers and brands connect with passengers – from AI-powered beauty consultations to viral confectionery launches.

Please enjoy this edition of The Magazine with our compliments.
