How long have you been in the travel retail industry?
Two years, but loosely connected through the domestic spirits business since 1992.
What’s your proudest career achievement to date?

You’re one of the highest-profile women in the industry. Do you feel it is difficult for women to reach the top in this business? What are the barriers?
I honestly don’t think it is any more difficult for women than for me, if you want it, you can have it.
Who have been the greatest inspirations in your life and career?
My husband, my parents, my kids.
What’s the biggest lesson you have learned in life to date?
Never assume and never judge a book by its cover.
What quality do you most admire in people?
Integrity, vision and a sense of fun.

My time in Kerala, India.
One book, one music album for your desert island – what would they be?
Book: Papillon. Album: if I can’t take my iPod it would be Colbie Caillat, ‘All of you’ at the moment.
And one duty free item?
A bottle of Johnnie Walker Black label of course.
If you could invite three iconic figures (they can be living or dead) to your ideal dinner party, who would they be?
Alexander Walker (son of John Walker who took the brand around the world), Ernest Shackleton and Lady Gaga.
