Transformulas pledges to bring ‘Beauty Without Surgery’ to the travel retail channel – 10/12/08

UK. Transformulas International, which offers a comprehensive range of cosmeceutical treatments, is planning to further grow its presence within the travel retail channel in 2009 and beyond.

Tranformulas has updated its best-selling LipVolume treatment with a new, pink-tinted, cherry-flavoured version


Earlier this year the company signed a partnership with Scorpio Distributors to manage its travel retail distribution worldwide. The brand was subsequently showcased by Scorpio at this year’s TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes.

Transformulas describes itself as a specialist provider of clinically researched, non-invasive, anti-ageing treatments, that offer ‘Beauty Without Surgery’.

“I created Transformulas around the vision that I wanted to bridge the gap between medical and cosmetic beauty solutions,” explained Managing Director and Company Founder Rosalind Chapman.

“Every product has been developed with the input of leading plastic surgeons, dermatologists or beauty professionals from all over the world to create formulas with outstanding results and backed by clinical tests.”

Transformulas was initially distributed domestically through professional salons, clinics and spas. The brand was launched inflight in September 2006, and made its marine debut with Harding Bros onboard the Queen Victoria last December.

The Transformulas portfolio features a top-to-toe range of treatments including anti-ageing formulations, anti-cellulite creams, teeth whitening systems, slimming pills and gift sets.

This new treatment is designed to revitalise the delicate eye area after a stressful day, late night – or tiring flight.


Its inflight best-sellers to date are the EyeLifting Gel (reportedly a favourite of Victoria Beckham), LipVolume and the Professional White Teeth Whitening System.

Described as an “eye lift in a tube”, the EyeLifting Gel (priced at around £17.50 inflight) should be used daily to help banish fine lines and puffiness, while cooling, lifting and firming the skin around the eye area.

Transformulas Lip Volume (domestic rrp £19.95) is described as a semi-permanent cosmeceutical lip plumper that helps create a sexy pout without the need for collagen injections. The line has recently been extended with a pink-tinted, cherry-flavoured version.

LipVolume delivers a pleasant tingling sensation on application, adding volume to ageing/thinning lips by helping lip tissue to regenerate, according to the company.

Transformulas Professional White Teeth Whitening System (£24.95 domestic rrp) is a one-step tooth whitening/brightening treatment that helps to counter discolouration caused by coffee, tea, tobacco, red wine, food and general ageing.

It can brighten teeth buy up to six shades, the company claims, via a simple wand application system.

New for 2008 is the Transformulas EyeContour Patch – described as a stress relief eye mask and after-party essential. This is a 15-minute treatment designed to revitalise the delicate eye area after a stressful day, late night or tiring flight.

The patches are sealed in pairs, and should be applied under each eye to relax, refresh, rehydrate and reduce puffiness. Priced at just £5 in travel retail, they are said to be an ideal inflight impulse purchase.
