Travel Blue to spotlight expanded award-winning Memory Collections at TFWA Cannes

Through destination-inspired keepsakes, Travel Blue helps travellers capture memories of the places they have visited and carry their stories beyond the journey

Travel Blue is set to showcase its enhanced destination-inspired offerings at the TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes (27 September-1 October).

The range has expanded with new personalised travel souvenirs, complementing its destination-themed pins, badges and travel pillows that allow travellers to customise their luggage and backpacks while celebrating their journeys.

The Cannes presentation builds on the global travel essentials leader’s success at the TFWA Singapore show, and in The Moodie Davitt Report TREX Awards, where the range was recognised with the Destination Merchandise Award.

Judges lauded the impactful displays, which effectively captured shopper attention and encouraged impulse purchases, while highlighting the concept’s strong alignment with Gen Z’s desire for personalisation and self-expression.

Personalisation plays an important role in the offer, responding to younger travellers’ preference for products that express their individuality and aesthetic appeal

Commenting on the range’s commercial appeal and relevance to today’s travel retail consumer, a judge described it as “a very attractive offer, easy to mix and match and items are easily personalised. The displays are impactful and would certainly promote impulse purchases.”

Judges also praised the concept’s strong appeal to younger travellers: “A nice concept that fits into the personalisation and self-expression need states. Clearly targeted at Gen Z shoppers and likely to prove a huge hit with them. Scalable across multiple locations.”

On the collection’s visual impact and merchandising opportunities, a judge said: “Memory Collections taps beautifully into the desire for personalisation and self-expression among Gen Z consumers (and others).

“I just love the vibrancy of the in-store display options, which, as one of the retailers quoted in the nomination observes, almost compels shoppers to enter the retail space, browse the range and individualise their backpacks and luggage. Class.”

Travel Blue Managing Director Daniel Levin said, “Memory Collections are destination-exclusive souvenirs which provide lasting memories for passengers and offer personalisation, appealing to Gen Z’s desire for self-expression.

“Both affordable and functional, these products help operators generate impulse purchases through engaging, high-impact displays.”
