PANAMA. Travelex has opened its first Latin American location at Tocumen International Airport in Panama.
“Panama and Tocumen Airport represents a great travel growth market for us,” the company said.
Said to be the fastest growing airport in Latin America, Tocumen posted a +20% increase in passenger growth over the past year. In 2010, passenger growth was at just +6%.
It is also a regional hub for various commercial and cargo airlines that connect Panama to more than 33 countries and 83 cities around the world.
Travelex will offer 40 different currencies to the 20,000+ passengers who pass through the airport daily.
