INTERNATIONAL. Submissions for the second annual cross-category travel retail-exclusive (TREX) Awards remain open, with the 6 March deadline fast approaching.
Nominations must be submitted through this link.

TREX is the only global programme dedicated to honouring groundbreaking travel retail-exclusive products and initiatives that redefine surprise, discovery and differentiation in the channel.
Spanning multiple categories, TREX shines a spotlight on products, campaigns and collaborations that deliver unique, channel-specific value to travellers.
Building on the resounding success of the inaugural edition, which showcased a stellar array of entries, this year’s TREX Awards platform sets the stage for brands to spotlight their 2025 innovations and leadership in channel-exclusive excellence.
“Differentiation is critical to creating real value in and consumer curiosity about travel retail. True TREXs do that, offering products that by definition cannot be procured elsewhere,” said The Moodie Davitt Report Founder & Chairman Martin Moodie.
“In an age of unprecedented competition for the travel retail channel, the concept matters as never before as can be seen by the flurry of brand and retailer activity around TREX initiatives.”
Entries will be evaluated by a diverse panel of industry experts, led by Martin Moodie, creator of the TREX Awards. Martin has spent almost four decades in the industry and is a perennial champion of the travel retail-exclusive (forever known going forward as TREX) concept.

Joining him again is veteran drinks and travel retail sector executive Tim Young, UK-based Founder & Managing Director of Young Spirit Consulting. Tim has enjoyed a stellar career across more than three decades in senior management roles with two of the world’s largest beverage alcohol companies: Seagram and Brown-Forman.
Completing the panel to date is Hong Kong-based Canny Kwok, a much-respected authority in the Asian beauty and travel retail landscape.
Canny has more than 30 years of business development and market growth experience across Asia, Mid Pacific, Hawaii and mainland USA, specialising in luxury travel retail across jewellery, watches, accessories and perfume & cosmetics. She held senior roles for The Estée Lauder Companies and then Bvlgari, culminating in her appointment as Bvlgari Perfume Asia Pacific Travel Retail Managing Director in November 2020.
In August 2024, Canny took on a new challenge as Director for Search and Consulting at Exquisitz Asia.
The winner in each category will be the entry that best expresses the concept of genuine and high-quality travel retail exclusiveness. A simple packaging or sizing tweak will not be enough. Campaign and marketing awards must be focused on a TREX product.
Aside from the category, Gold, Silver and Bronze accolades will be awarded where merited, resulting in a tiered celebration of the industry’s most outstanding channel-exclusive products and innovations.
Winners will be announced in April. ✈
