AUSTRALIA. Stationery and gifts retailer Typo has opened its first airport store, at Brisbane Airport. The Australian brand, which claims to offer “˜tradition with a twist’, will serve the 16 million annual passengers passing through Brisbane’s domestic terminal.
Typo has more than 80 stores across Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Singapore, South Africa and the US. At Brisbane it will offer a range of travel items – including passport holders, travel wallets, neck pillows and luggage tags – alongside stationery, gifts, cards and artwork.
Brisbane Airport Corporation General Manager Terminal Retail and Commercial Andrew Brodie said: “Typo is known for stocking fun, quirky and quality products that will keep both business and leisure travellers busy on flights. We’re pleased to be the first airport in the world to have a Typo store within our busy Domestic Terminal and we have no doubt it will be extremely popular with travellers.”
The store is located in the central area of the terminal and will be open for trading seven days a week.
