Unifree Duty Free lends further luxury lustre to Istanbul Airport with Loewe boutique

The boutique introduces Loewe’s signature aesthetic to the fashion offer, strengthening the mix of luxury labels available to passengers

TÜRKIYE. LVMH-owned Spanish fashion house Loewe has extended its travel retail footprint with a new boutique at Istanbul Airport, in partnership with Unifree Duty Free.

Opened on 31 July, the 69sq m store is located at the entrance to Luxury Square in Zone 5 of the departures floor, immediately after security.

A showcase of Loewe’s design identity, the boutique features the brand’s latest collections alongside signature leathergoods and statement accessories

The boutique showcases the brand’s women’s collections, including ready-to-wear, bags, small leathergoods, scarves and shawls, shoes, belts, blankets and cushions, plus eyewear.

The boutique reflects the Casa Loewe design concept, bringing together hand-glazed ceramics in caramel, amber and soft white, expansive concrete surfaces, and brass and marble detailing. Glazed cylindrical ceramics feature in the window as sculptural elements.

The boutique displays products alongside works of art and furniture, including Made in Port Elizabeth (1975), a glazed ceramic figure by South African artist Hylton Nel, and a George III oak cricket table dating to around 1760.

Other furnishings include a Puffer bench in tufted leather and made in Spain, and a bespoke wool rug in the women’s shoe area, handwoven in Spain and inspired by the forms and landscapes of the Spanish islands. ✈
