CENTRAL AMERICA/THE CARIBBEAN. Visa and Duty Free Americas (DFA) have renewed and expanded their partnership for a fourth consecutive year, extending Visa cardholder benefits across key airport and border locations in Central America and the Caribbean.
The agreement covers DFA operations at Tocumen International Airport terminals 1 and 2 in Panama and Punta Cana International Airport in the Dominican Republic, where benefits apply to both arriving and departing travellers.
In an extension of the programme, the partnership now encompasses DFA’s Paso Canoas border store between Panama and Costa Rica. The location serves one of the region’s busiest border crossings and marks the first time the programme has been extended to DFA’s border store network.
The agreement also spans participating convenience stores, bars and restaurants managed by DFA.
Visa credit, debit and prepaid cardholders with cards issued worldwide receive a -10% discount on purchases of more than US$200 at participating Duty Free Americas stores.
The offer covers categories including beauty, fragrances, fashion, jewellery, spirits & wine, food and gifts.
Benefits are also available at selected DFA-operated restaurants and bars, with individual offers varying by location.
