Vista Corona makes Mexican homecoming at Guadalajara International Airport with Areas

After expanding across airports in Colombia, Panama, Brazil and Chile, Vista Corona has returned to Mexico with an airport oasis concept at Guadalajara International Airport

MEXICO. Mexican spirits company Grupo Modelo (acquired by Belgian brewing powerhouse Anheuser-Busch InBev in 2013) has launched the first Vista Corona at Guadalajara International Airport.

The Guadalajara location and wider Mexican roll-out of the restaurant, bar and grab-and-go format is being delivered in partnership with travel food & beverage specialist Areas.

Inspired by the warmth and colour of Mexican hospitality, Vista Corona is designed as an airport oasis featuring a variety of natural wicker textures and foliage.

The menu offers cocktails, Micheladas (a Mexican beer cocktail) and a wide variety of products from the greater Corona portfolio, including alcohol-free variant Corona Cero.

The concept reflects Corona’s broader positioning around relaxation and enjoyment. Vista Corona encourages travellers to relax and embrace the journey as part of the overall travel experience rather than simply focusing on the destination.

The launch was timed to coincide with increased international visitor traffic during the FIFA World Cup. Additional openings are planned across Mexico throughout 2026 with Areas.

“For many people, travel is a chance to break from routine and disconnect from everyday life,” commented Grupo Modelo Director of Core Brands Yune Aranguren.

“Yet the airport experience is often defined by impersonal spaces, long waits and a hurried pace. Corona has created Vista Corona to turn that moment into a warmer, calmer experience and the start of new adventures.”

The concept is already established at airports across Colombia, Panama, Brazil and Chile.

Corona is available in more than 180 countries and is among Mexico’s most internationally recognised consumer brands, the brand owner said.

As reported, Vista Corona has also been nominated as one of the finalists for the Airport Restaurant Design of the Year Silver Awards at the upcoming 2026 Airport Food & Beverage (FAB) + Hospitality Conference & Awards (7-8 July).

Guadalajara International Airport is the first of several planned Vista Corona openings in Mexico, with additional locations scheduled to launch before the end of 2026 with Areas

“At Grupo Modelo and Corona, we believe the best trips begin the moment you step away from routine,” added Aranguren.

“With Vista Corona, we want to turn airports into spaces that capture the essence of Mexico: its warmth, its energy and that unique way of enjoying every moment.

“As a brand born in Mexico that has carried a piece of the country to the world for decades, we are thrilled to welcome millions of visitors with an authentically Mexican experience from the very first instant.”

Vista Corona locations in Mexico will operate daily from 5am to 10pm, serving the growing number of international arrivals and departures expected throughout 2026. ‍
