WHSmith reveals new airside store at Belfast International Airport

UK. Travel retailer WHSmith has opened a new store in the airside departures concourse at Belfast International Airport, extending its presence at the Northern Ireland gateway as part of the airport’s wider redevelopment programme.

The outlet offers a broad travel retail proposition spanning food & beverage, health and beauty, books, magazines and travel essentials, including a mix of local and international brands.

The store includes a food-to-go offer and products aimed at last-minute travel purchases.

The retail unit features a new design concept incorporating Belfast-themed elements, including a mural of the city, while the surrounding departures area has been reconfigured with increased ceiling heights and floor-to-ceiling glazing overlooking the airport apron.

The opening forms part of Belfast International Airport’s ongoing £100 million (US$134 million) investment programme, focused on upgrading passenger facilities and enhancing the overall airport experience.
