INTERNATIONAL. The Moodie Report has two quarter-final tickets for sale to the glamour All Blacks vs France match in the Rugby World Cup this weekend – and all proceeds are going to charity.
The match, which brings together two of the pre-tournament favourites in a must-win contest, has attracted a sell-out crowd. It will be played in Cardiff on Saturday 6 October with kick-off at 8.00pm.
All proceeds from the sale of the tickets (the pair cost €463) will go to The Smile Train, the wonderful children’s cleft lip and palate charity which is the subject of this week’s 5 October travel retail fund-raising dinner in Hong Kong, co-organised by The Moodie Report and Hugo Boss. We cannot use the tickets because of our attendance at the dinner.
Bids can be tabled to Martin@TheMoodieReport.com and must be in excess of the cost price. The winning bid will be announced at noon London time on 2 October. We will courier the tickets to the winning bidders.
BID UPDATE: The winning bid was €1,000 – tabled by John Kammerman, Regional Director Duty Free Asia Pacific/Americas at Imperial Tobacco. Thank you John for your contribution to The Smile Train – Martin Moodie, Editor and Publisher.
